Cindy’s back this week, cooking up a storm!  Her Greek specialties include spanakopita, moussaka, baklava, and galaktoboureko – creamy egg custard between layers of flaky phyllo, all bathed in lemon honey syrup. Also find gourmet frozen pops, local veggies, plants, baked goods, pasture raised meats, cheeses, artisan work including jewelry, locally sourced wooden bowls and boards, and so much more. The market is in full swing, with a string of sunny Saturdays and more vendors arriving each week. Mild and tangy salad mixes, crisp radishes, kale, arugula, broccoli raab, hakurei turnips, breakfast, lunch, cheeses, LOTS of baked goodies, and so much more (even baby nasturtium greens).  Hear joyful tunes of Rosin the Beaux while strolling and snacking. It’s a great sign! Nobody can miss the market now that we’re so prominently displayed at the top of Spring Street, and we’re not to be missed this Saturday. We’ll have a glorious day Saturday for our season debut! Spring veggies include asparagus, arugula, bok choi, lettuces, salad mix, radishes, kale, rainbow chard, rhubarb, spinach and more. Plus lots of plants – veggie and flowers – for adding to your own garden, including a selection of heirloom and hybrid tomatoes, greens, basil, parsley, peppers, and onion starts. Even some lovely spring cut flowers.

We couldn’t be more excited about our upcoming market season – and we’ve got a new logo to celebrate all things local and growing! Williamstown artist and market co-manager Lucy Rollins custom designed the logo, which we’ll be featuring on new hats and aprons for sale at the market info booth this year. Thank you Lucy for giving us a great new look!

Saturday brings our last market of the season! Let’s make it great. Stock up for your fall and winter sustenance! Our musicians are myself (9-10) and the talented Anna Butcher (10-1). At the market - Saturday, September 29th

Fall is here and the air is crisp. Who went up Pine Cobble trail this week?! Saturday is the perfect day to bring some friends or family to the market. Our farmers are continuing a great season and we’ve got three more markets to celebrate their hard work and fill our refrigerators with fresh produce. Now’s the time to start “putting up” for winter. Freezing, pickling, and canning are great ways to bring the summer harvest into the cold winter months when you want some warm veggie stew. more

Want to do something fun on Saturday? Come out to the farmers’ market and enjoy music, fresh vegetables, warm food, cheese, beautiful crafts, and sauerkraut. Not only is this area beautiful, but it provides us with such a bounty of food, which means we can live here! Thanks to our farmers and food preservers, we get to enjoy the bliss of raspberry jam in the winter and the sweet ripeness of melons in the summer.
