Our Sincere Thanks to Wild Oats Market for Sponsoring Our Community Essentials Initiative!

MaryEllen Meehan and Anne Hogeland from the WFM Board of Directors, and Netse Lytle, Wild Oats Market General Manager

It is with deep appreciation that we announce Wild Oat Market’s Round-Up For Change program raised $3,353.57 in the month of June to support WFM’s Community Essential Initiative. We extend our sincere gratitude not only to Wild Oats, but also to the entire Williamstown community for choosing to support this effort with your generous “rounding up” donations.

The Community Essentials Initiative is an ALL LOCAL collaborative effort – among our local farmers, local food pantries, local coop market, and local volunteers from the St. John’s Episcopal Church outreach committee – to bring fresh, local foods to families in northern Berkshire County facing food insecurity. We’re incredibly humbled and thankful to accept this donation, and we hope the broader community will continue supporting the Round-Up for Change program to support other local efforts.

At pick-up time at the Williamstown Farmers Market last Saturday – Anne, MaryEllen, and Netse were joined by Charles Bonenti from St. John’s to purchase produce for local food pantries.

Below, we’ve included a letter from the WFM Board of Directors expressing our appreciation to the Wild Oats community.
