Getting Ready for Opening Day – Saturday, May 18th 9am – 1pm!
We couldn’t be more excited about our upcoming market season – and we’ve got a new logo to celebrate all things local and growing! Williamstown artist and market co-manager Lucy Rollins custom designed the logo, which we’ll be featuring on new hats and aprons for sale at the market info booth this year. Thank you Lucy for giving us a great new look!
We’ll be in the same location, the Spring Street Parking Lot – improved over the past year.
The market will again feature an exceptional array of ALL LOCAL offerings – find farmers, bakers, chefs, artisans and musicians, plus picnic tables with umbrellas.
We continues to expand our produce and food offerings, adding SIX new local food providers. With about 30 regular vendors, we’ve grown to become one of the largest markets in the region.
Among the NEW vendors, Williamstown favorites Tunnel City Coffee, The Store at Five Corners and Green River Farms all join the market this season, plus Williamstown’s two new locally-sourced Two Bear Bakery and Little Sticks (frozen) Pops. From nearby Vermont, Earth Sky Time wood-fired bread bakery complements our food selections.
Our trio of local chefs, Cindy’s Cookin’ Greek, Dan Campbell, and Robin Lenz all return to delight residents and visitors with gourmet selections for breakfast, lunch, and take-home for dinner. R & G Cheese Makers returns with chevres, camemberts and more.
These vendors join many local farmers such as popular Peace Valley Farm, providing tasty veggies since the market’s founding in 1981, Mighty Food Farm bringing a bountiful assortment of veggies, East Mountain Farm with pasture raised, hormone-free chicken, pork, and beef, and Bigfoot Farm returning from a successful debut last season with low-till veggies and artful flower bouquets.
Locally sourced wooden bowls, as well as batik quilts, silver, pottery, kids craft kits, and yarnwork complement the food offerings. Our talented Heritage Artisans share their skills in traditional fiber crafts with weekly demonstrations of knitting, spinning, and basketry (and are happy to provide free help with your own knitting projects.)
We’ll update this page with details on the vendors and their offerings in advance of each Saturday market. If you’d like to receive this info by email – via our newsletter sent every Thursday afternoon – please sign up in the box to the right. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
