- Our veggies are no arti-joke! Peak harvest season has arrived – and we’re overflowing with a bounty of local, tasty offerings! Find veggies galore, blueberries by the generous pint or over brioche French toast, juicy peaches, chef demos, baguettes, cheeses, meats, Dancing Bare Soaps and so much more. Our new – and already famous – gourmet frozen pops too. Saturday will be a perfect day to stroll the market!
- The market opens with Rosin the Beaux, playing Celtic, Quebecois, and Appalachian tunes. The second half of the market brings the jazzy, talented, and popular Trio Cafe Budapest.
- Mighty Food Farm– Lisa brings lots of head lettuce, baby lettuce mix, haukeri turnips, collards, bok choi, radishes, scallions, cucumbers, summer squash, zucchini, and mini onions. So yummy!
- Peace Valley Farm– Bill and Susie are bringing a variety of lettuce and Swiss chard, plus zucchini, summer squash, broccoli and tomatoes. Such a good weekend to pick up some veggies!
- Shaker Hill Orchard – Tom is back this weekend with flowering plants – especially some beautiful sunflowers to brighten your summer!
- Sweet Brook Farm– Sarah brings local maple syrup in bottles ranging from tiny to enormous (and in varieties perfect for tasting, cooking…and over pancakes!) and delectable maple cream. Don’t miss the samples!
- Windswept Farm – John will be bringing some corn, tomatoes, summer squash, blueberries, and cucumbers!
- Bigfoot Farm– Brian will be selling his famous Bigfoot salad mix, spinach, arugula, tatsoi, hakurei turnips, parsley, summer squash, carrots and artichokes!
- Blair Farm– The Quimbys will be bringing their local large brown eggs, lettuce, kale, salad turnips, radishes, and even some peas!
- Earth Sky Time– Earth Sky Time will be bringing an incredible assortment of wood-fired breads along with their famous pesto, hoomoos, and VT Goldburgers. Come check out one of our newer additions to the market this year!
- East Mountain Farm– EMF has assorted steaks: sirloins and, something really special, filet medallions (boneless beef tenderloin steaks). Also hot dogs, chorizo, andouille, chickens (whole and parts), deli ham, sausages, bratwurst, ribs, chops, bacon, ground pork/beef, and pork tenderloins. (Note: East Mountain Farm accepts SNAP payments). Try a sample of Kim’s meats at his booth and in the dishes prepared-to-order by Robin’s.
- Hay Berry Farm– Lawrie will be bringing her famous shiitake mushrooms, fresh cut lavender, dried flowers, fresh mint, and lots of blueberries – perfect for summer!
- M and A Farm – Autumn will be bringing summer squash, cucumbers, kale, collards, salad mix, basil, turnips, fresh eggs and wonderful blueberries!
LOCALLY PREPARED FOODS
- The Williams Inn – From 10am to noon, Chef Kevin will be doing cooking demonstrations with local foods sourced from market vendors. We’re excited to welcome this wonderful addition for their second appearance this season!
- Chris’s Kitchen and Serendipity Quilt Designs– This week Chris will be bringing her assorted jams and baked goods of lemon brownies, chocolate brownies, pecan pie bars, seven layer bars, whoopie pies, chocolate chip cookie bars, assorted cookies and muffins! Chris will also be bringing NEW jams: peach, strawberry peach, and rhubarb peach – yum! Also, beautiful examples of her other impressive skill: quilt-making, including batik table runners and quilts
- Little Sticks Pops– Amazing locally made frozen pops in non-dairy and dairy assortments! This week’s flavors include lemon-coconut, ginger peach-mango, watermelon mojito (nonalcoholic!), and pineapple-strawberry. And, of course, fudge — yum!
- R&G Cheese Makers– Sean offers a full line of hand crafted artisan cheese, including chevres (garlic/herb, honey, and maple/chipotle, among others), ripened goat camemberts – including blackbert and trufflebert, and selected mozzarellas and hard cheeses made from both cow and goat’s milk
- Robin’s– chef and baker Robin Lenz serves town-favorite melty-but-crisp, made-to-order breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Breakfasts include local eggs on grilled English muffins with cheeses, sausage, and bacon from our market vendors. Look for assorted home-cooked sweet treats!
- The Store at 5 Corners– The Store at 5 Corners of South Williamstown brings abundant blueberries, plus assorted pastries and cookies, including croissants, bagels and donuts (maple glazed and more), plus cold drinks. Also this week Kevin is back at the grill – serving up delectable brioche French toast for breakfast and veggie or East Mountain Farm beef burgers with all the fixings for lunch. Perfect to enjoy while relaxing at our picnic tables!
- Tunnel City Coffee –A wide variety of Tunnel City’s signature coffee beans roasted in North Adams, samples of their pour over coffee, and half gallons of their fantastic cold brew coffee – plus colorful burlap coffee bean bags, great for repurposing!
- Crow Hill Farm– Merry will offer an array of lovingly prepared arts and craft kits (such as owl treasure keeper, design your own sailboat, create your own notecards), greeting cards, miniatures (gnomes, elves, fairies), hand knit items from alpaca and cotton and adorable birthday fairies!
- Dancing Bare Soap – Maud is back with her hand made soaps using organic, vegan, and fair trade materials. The cold process method used to make this soap creates luxurious lather and makes it both firmer and longer lasting. Dancing Bare Soap brings to the market a real treat for the skin!
- Memphremagog Studios– From nearby southern Vermont, Emily brings unique silver earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, etched stemware glasses, and silk scarves
- Peterman’s Boards & Bowls – locally sourced wooden bowls, trays, napkin rings, salad tossers, bottle stoppers, cutting boards (including gorgeous “seconds”), featured in design magazines nationally!
- Yarnwork– Nora Phykitt continues creating lovely and comfortable knitted, crocheted and felted clothing and accessories…her cottons are especially soft!
- Alison Kolesar – Alison is back to the market this weekend! A talented artist and illustrator, Alison has filled more than 100 books and creates everything from vibrant water colors to elegantly painted rock art!
LOCAL NONPROFIT BOOTHS
- Williamstown Theatre Festival’s COMMUNITY WORKS program will have a booth to promote this community engaged theatre program that brings together hundreds of Berkshire area residents from all walks of life. COMMUNITY WORKS offers a free, family friendly production in August and year-round programming as well. Reserve your tickets for this summer’s production of Summer’s Soldier at the market!
- Williamstown’s Park and Recreation Advisory Committee will have a booth to solicit public opinion about Williamstown’s current parks and rec offerings, to answer questions about plans to improve, expand or develop new offerings, and to discuss opportunities for community involvement or volunteer work. Chat with the folks on this committee to have your views included in their research and recommendations to the Town!
