Bring on the Pulled Pork and Barbecue in a Jar!

Our returning vendor, Hoosick Hickory, is now offering delicious pulled pork sliders as well as an entire barbecue meal “in a jar”! A clever variation on take-out food, this 3-layer meal is served in a pint or half-pint jar. Layers include home-cooked baked beans, pulled pork, and cole slaw. The lengthy process involved in preparing the pulled pork includes smoking with Hoosick’s own hickory bark chips, slow roasting in the oven, pulling, and finally smothering in hickory-infused barbecue sauce. All the effort is worth it! more

Music at the Market – Saturday, May 31st

We’re delighted that two accomplished young musicians, Gef Fisher and Sato Matsui, will return on Saturday, May, 31. From 9am to 11am, Gef will play selections from his broad repertoire of classical guitar music ranging from Renaissance to contemporary. From 11am to 1pm, Sato will entertain with solo violin pieces ranging from classical to folk to modern. We’re extremely grateful to the Fund for Williamstown for supporting our fantastic music program. more

Music for Opening Day – Saturday, May 24th

We’re delighted that two accomplished musicians will play on Opening Day, Saturday, May 24th. Sato Matsui will play solo violin from 9am to 11am, with selections ranging from classical to folk to modern. From Williamstown and Williams College, Sato will make a few appearances before heading off to Paris in late June. Her music was so popular last season that patrons timed their visits to hear her play! From 11am to 1pm, we’re pleased to introduce Gef Fisher on the classical guitar. more

2014 Season Opening Day – Saturday, May 24th

Opening day is finally here! On May 24th, we start our regular Saturday market hours from 9:00am to 1:00pm in the parking lot at the base of Spring Street. From this week on, we’ll have a market each Saturday at least until October 11th. While it takes a few weeks to reach our full complement of produce vendors, our first market will have plenty of offerings and a tasty sampling of spring treats!
